Refunds and cancellations

Two sentences carry most of this page. Nothing is charged now. Full refund before it ships. The rest is the detail, in case you need it.

Nothing is charged yet

Preorders open on 20 September 2026, at 12 noon ET. Until that moment no card is charged and no order exists. Applying costs you nothing.

When preorders open, payment is taken by Stripe. The price, plus shipping and any tax that applies where you live, is shown before you pay. There are 60 in this batch.

You can cancel any time before it ships

Right up until your bracelet leaves for you, you can cancel and get all of your money back. You do not need a reason and you do not have to explain yourself. Email me, and I will refund you and confirm it in writing.

A full refund means the full amount you paid. The bracelet, the shipping, and the tax.

The ship date, and what happens if I miss it

The Founder Pilot ships by 25 October 2026. That is the date you see at checkout, and it is a promise, not a hopeful guess. Bracelets go out in waves, so some arrive earlier than others. Your window is confirmed before you pay, and no wave runs past 25 October 2026.

These are hand-built, and building sixty of anything for the first time can run late. So here is what I owe you if it does. If I am going to miss that date, you will hear from me by email on or before 25 October 2026. That message will tell you the new date and give you a straight choice: wait for it, or cancel right there for a full refund.

If that notice reaches you late, or never reaches you at all, the choice stops being mine. Your money goes back automatically, within seven working days, to the card or account you paid with. You do not have to ask for it and you do not have to chase me.

The same applies if I cannot fill your order at all. Full refund, same seven working days, no conditions.

This is not me being generous. It is the FTC's Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule, which covers anything you buy online in the United States, and I would rather write it out plainly than bury it.

Refunds are money, not credit

Every refund goes back as money, to the same card or account you paid with. Never store credit. Never a voucher. Never a discount on a future bracelet.

You will not find the words "all sales final" or "non-refundable" anywhere on this site. They would not be true here, and under the rule above they would not hold up anyway.

What you are buying

Worth repeating on this page, because it is the reason some people will want to cancel:

If any of that changes your mind after you order, cancel. Before it ships that is always open to you, and I will not try to talk you out of it.

After it arrives

Once your bracelet ships, the cancel-for-a-refund window closes. That does not mean you are stuck with a bad one. If it arrives damaged, or it will not turn on, or it fails in a way that is clearly not you, email me. Sixty people is small enough that I can deal with every one of these properly. I would much rather replace it or refund it than have you wearing something broken.

Your right to dispute a charge

You always keep the right to dispute a charge with your bank or your card issuer. Nothing on this page, and nothing at checkout, asks you to give that up. I will never ask you to.

I would rather you email me first, because I can usually refund you faster than a dispute can. That is a preference, not a condition.

Who you are buying from

M'AKOMA is a limited liability company registered in the United States. I am Melvin Osei Opoku. I build these, and I am the person who answers this email.

For anything on this page, cancelling, a refund, a late shipment, or a question you would rather ask before you pay, email is the way to reach me. Write to oseimelvin@gmail.com, or reply to any email M'AKOMA has already sent you. Both land with me. Include the email address you ordered with so I can find you quickly. I read these myself.
