Terms of sale
You are about to send money to one person for a thing that does not exist in a shop yet. The least I can do is be exact about what you get, what you pay, when it ships, and how you get your money back. That is all this page is.
Who you are buying from
M’AKOMA is a limited liability company registered in the United States. I am Melvin Osei Opoku, the founder. I build these bracelets by hand. There is no support desk. When you email oseimelvin@gmail.com, it is me reading it.
What you are buying
One hand-built M’AKOMA Founder Pilot bracelet. There are sixty of them. The price, plus shipping and any applicable taxes, is shown to you before you pay, never after.
- It is an early prototype, not the final retail edition.
- It is not waterproof. Keep it dry.
- Features and reliability are still being tested, and will change.
- Everyone who wears one needs an iPhone.
Buy one because you want to help shape this. If what you want is a finished product, wait for the finished product. I would rather you wait than be disappointed.
Where it ships
This batch ships to the United States only. Checkout will not accept a delivery address anywhere else.
When preorders open, and when you pay
Preorders open on 20 September 2026 at 12 noon ET. Nothing is charged before then. Joining the waitlist, applying, and reading this page all cost nothing.
Payment is taken by Stripe at checkout. Your card details go to Stripe, not to me.
When it ships
The ship date is 25 October 2026, about five weeks after preorders open. They are hand-built, so they go out in waves as they are finished, and some will leave earlier than others. 25 October 2026 is the date I hold myself to, and it is the date the rest of this page hangs on.
If I am going to miss that date
Hardware slips sometimes. If I am not going to ship your bracelet by 25 October 2026, this is what happens, and none of it is optional for me.
- I email you on or before 25 October 2026 with the new date.
- That email gives you a real choice: wait for the new date, or cancel and get everything back.
- If you cancel, the refund goes back to the card or account you paid with, within seven working days.
If that notice does not reach you in time, I do not get to sit on your money while you wait. Your order is cancelled and refunded in full, automatically, within seven working days, back the way you paid it. You do not have to ask, and I am not allowed to steer you into store credit instead.
This is not just my promise. Any seller who takes your money before shipping has to do this under the US Federal Trade Commission’s Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule. I am writing it here so you can hold me to it without having to go and look it up.
Cancelling, and refunds
You can cancel any time before your bracelet ships, for any reason or for no reason. Email me and you get a full refund.
Refunds are money. They go back to the card or account you paid with. Not store credit, not a voucher, not a discount on a future bracelet.
There is no small print anywhere on this site that makes your preorder final or non-refundable before it ships. If you ever see wording that suggests otherwise, it is a mistake on my part, and this page is what stands.
If it arrives broken
Email me before you do anything else. A prototype behaving oddly is expected, and I want to hear about that too. A bracelet that turns up damaged or dead is a different thing, and I will make it right with you.
Your right to dispute a charge
You can always take a payment problem to your bank or card issuer. That right is yours and nothing here asks you to give it up. Nothing you agree to at checkout takes it away either. I would rather you email me first, because I can usually fix it faster than a dispute can, but that is a preference, not a condition.
If I cannot fill your order
There are sixty bracelets and no more. If your order cannot be filled, for any reason, you get all of your money back the same way as above: in money, to the way you paid, within seven working days.
Changes to this page
The terms that apply to your order are the ones on this page on the day you order. If I change something later, it applies to orders placed after the change, not to yours.
Questions
Email me. One person is reading, so give me a day or two. If you are unsure whether something is covered here, ask before you pay rather than after. I would rather answer twenty questions than take money from someone who was not sure.
